On September 13, 2024, KITA Group’s relief delegation embarked on a charitable journey to Bao Yen and Si Ma Cai districts of Lao Cai Province—areas that had just endured prolonged heavy rains causing flash floods, landslides, and widespread inundation in the aftermath of Super Typhoon Yagi, severely impacting local residents’ lives.
Suffering heavily from the aftermath of Super Typhoon Yagi, many areas in Lao Cai Province, including Bao Yen and Si Ma Cai districts, incurred significant damage due to flash floods and landslides. Numerous locations were isolated, creating major challenges for rescue and relief efforts. Many households faced shortages of basic necessities, damaged homes, and severely degraded living environments.
When natural disasters strike, every passing minute adds to the hardship and danger faced by people in flood-affected areas. Understanding this urgency, immediately upon receiving information from local authorities, KITA Group swiftly mobilized resources and launched a donation campaign across the entire Group.
Within just one day, with the spirit of “swift action and unity,” KITA Group raised total support funds worth VND 500 million. These funds were used to procure essential supplies such as rice, clean water, milk, cakes, sausages, soap, and essential medicines, promptly delivered to support residents in Bao Yen and Si Ma Cai districts. In addition, KITA Group donated VND 50 million to each district to assist local disaster relief efforts.
To ensure timely assistance reached those most in need, KITA Group’s volunteer team and relief trucks quickly set out, overcoming landslides and flooded roads to bring care and compassion to flood-affected communities. The spirit of “a small share in times of hardship means more than abundance in times of ease” inspired every member of the delegation to brave difficulties and hardships, determined to fulfill their mission.

Despite numerous challenges during travel due to severely disrupted terrain and landslides, KITA Group’s volunteer team persevered to reach the most heavily affected communes and villages.

After eight continuous hours of travel, Working Team No. 1 arrived at the relief reception point of the Bao Yen District People’s Committee. Representatives of KITA Group handed over essential supplies and medicines to local authorities to promptly support relief operations.

KITA Group’s convoy then traveled directly to the center of Viet Tien Commune, Bao Yen District, to personally distribute rice and food to local residents.

These timely gifts helped ease the immediate concerns of flood-affected residents in Viet Tien regarding food and basic needs, while also providing encouragement and strength to help them overcome the challenges ahead.

KITA Group’s charitable journey carried not only essential supplies but also hope and faith.

Due to poor road conditions and landslides, after more than 15 hours of continuous travel, Working Team No. 2 of KITA Group arrived at the relief reception point of the Si Ma Cai District People’s Committee, promptly delivering essential supplies to local residents.

Crates of clean water were unloaded throughout the night to ensure timely distribution to the community. These gestures of care not only helped people overcome immediate difficulties but also spread the spirit of solidarity and compassion, bringing faith and hope to families affected by natural disasters.
KITA Group’s companionship with flood-affected communities stands as a testament to the company’s strong sense of social responsibility. It also serves as a call for the broader community to join hands and contribute efforts to overcome natural disasters, support affected communities, and bring warmth and comfort during stormy days. Following this charitable journey to Lao Cai, KITA Group will continue to carry out humanitarian activities, spreading love and compassion to many localities across the country.
