KITA GROUP JOINS THE VIETNAM FATHERLAND FRONT COMMITTEE OF CAN THO CITY IN FUNDRAISING TO SUPPORT CENTRAL VIETNAM

At the fundraising art program in support of people in Central Vietnam affected by natural disasters, themed “Can Tho Looks Toward Central Vietnam,” held on the evening of November 1 in Can Tho City, KITA Group donated VND 100 million, and Mr. Nguyen Duy Kien (Chairman of KITA Group) personally contributed an additional VND 100 million to support residents in Central Vietnam impacted by storms and floods.

Mr. Nguyen Duy Kien shared: “KITA Group’s development mission always places strong emphasis on social responsibility, as we understand that alongside business activities, every enterprise must bring positive values to the community. We hope that this support will help ease part of the losses and convey our sharing and solidarity, so that people in Central Vietnam can soon return to their daily lives.”

This activity promoted the tradition of solidarity and mutual support, while recognizing the generosity of agencies, units, organizations, enterprises, benefactors, and residents across the city. The results were not only material assistance but also carried warm spiritual values, helping local people overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives more quickly.

At the program, many organizations and individuals made contributions, bringing the total amount raised by the end of the event to more than VND 6.2 billion. Since the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City launched the appeal to support Central Vietnam in recovering from natural disasters, the city has mobilized an estimated total of more than VND 14.8 billion, including cash, essential goods, medicines, and medical supplies. In addition, many volunteer groups from Can Tho City traveled directly to Central Vietnam to provide on-site support and assistance to local communities.

The program was directed by the People’s Committee of Can Tho City, with coordination from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, and Can Tho Radio and Television Station.

Attending the program were Mr. Tran Viet Truong, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Committee of Can Tho City; members of the Standing Committee and the City Party Executive Committee; leaders of departments, agencies, districts, and counties; benefactors; and a large number of local residents.
