KITA Group Supports Medical Supplies for COVID-19 Prevention Worth Over VND 2.6 Billion

Responding to the call for collective efforts to support the prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, on June 3, 2021, KITA Group donated 700 cartons of public medical gloves to the Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, with a total value of more than VND 2.6 billion. This was part of a series of practical activities aimed at joining hands with the Ho Chi Minh City authorities in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, while also demonstrating KITA Group’s sense of social responsibility and its desire to contribute resources to help localities overcome the pandemic as quickly as possible.

Representing KITA Group, Mr. Do Huu Phuoc – Communications Director – shared: “From the moment the pandemic broke out, KITA Group has considered contributing to the fight against COVID-19 as a corporate social responsibility. Therefore, the Group’s leadership decided to donate medical supplies, specifically 700 cartons of public medical gloves worth more than VND 2.6 billion, to the Vietnam Fatherland Front. We hope to make a meaningful contribution so that Vietnam can once again successfully contain the outbreak and move toward controlling the pandemic, allowing society to return to normal as soon as possible.”

Mr. Do Huu Phuoc, Communications Director and representative of KITA Group, hands over 700 cartons of public medical gloves to the Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.

Previously, the Group also donated VND 1 billion to Da Nang City and VND 1 billion to Can Tho General Hospital and the Can Tho City Police. These are localities where KITA Group is developing the Stella Mega City mega-urban project, covering an area of 150 hectares. These contributions reflect the Group’s commitment to social responsibility and its support for local resources to strengthen COVID-19 prevention and control measures.

Alongside sustainable business operations, the Group has consistently identified the sharing of value with society as a responsibility that ensures long-term sustainable development. Success is not only measured by business results but also by a company’s contributions to community development.

Notably, in 2020 and the first months of 2021, KITA Group allocated more than VND 7 billion to social welfare activities, including: providing gifts and scholarships to students from disadvantaged backgrounds with outstanding academic achievements during the 2020 Lunar New Year; donating 550 Tet gift packages to policy beneficiary families, people with meritorious services to the revolution, and families facing hardship; giving 350 gift packages to children with disabilities at the Thi Nghe Center for Disabled Children; organizing the “Mid-Autumn Festival” to present gifts and create recreational activities for children in Binh Thuy District during the Mid-Autumn Festival; donating 500 emergency relief gift packages to Quang Nam and Da Nang; building gratitude and charity houses; and contributing to national social welfare funds and activities.

Most recently, KITA Group has joined hands with the Hau Giang provincial authorities to build five new community bridges in Vinh Trung Commune (Vi Thuy District), Vinh Vien A Commune (Long My District), and Long My Town, completely replacing deteriorated wooden bridges. These new bridges provide safer and more convenient transportation for local residents while also creating a foundation for local economic development.

The efforts of KITA Group contribute not only to Vietnam’s goal of controlling and ultimately overcoming the COVID-19 pandemic, but also to continuing the policy of economic development closely linked with the shared interests of businesses and the community.
