The 12th Southern Folk Cake Festival will take place from April 4 to April 8, 2025, under the theme “Preserving and Promoting the Values of Southern Folk Cakes.” This is the largest folk cake festival in the Mekong Delta, held annually by Can Tho City at Binh Thuy Square – KITA Airport City Urban Area, attracting thousands of visitors and lovers of Southern traditional cuisine.

The festival will feature more than 250 booths, including areas dedicated to folk cakes, regional specialties, and culinary experiences, with participation from 18 provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta as well as provinces from the Northern, Central, and Central Highlands regions.
In addition to culinary activities, the festival will host a wide range of engaging programs such as: the 4th Can Tho City Cross-Country Race, the Southern Folk Cake Offering Ceremony in commemoration of the Hung Kings’ Death Anniversary (10th day of the 3rd lunar month), Vietnamese traditional costume parades, art performances, and a bonsai competition within the city, among others.
