THE “VACCINE DOSES” HELPING KITA GROUP ADAPT AND GROW DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

In the context of the prolonged Covid-19 pandemic, maintaining motivation and workforce engagement to ensure effective work performance—helping both businesses and employees overcome material and mental challenges—has depended greatly on internal communications and breakthrough decisions from leadership.

The “Connection Vaccine” – Careful preparation at every stage

As a company operating in investment, development, and real estate distribution, KITA Group was not immune to the impacts of the pandemic, which disrupted construction activities and business transactions, preventing them from proceeding as planned. These were unprecedented challenges caused by the pandemic.

However, this was by no means a reason for the experienced leadership team of KITA Group to lose heart. According to Ms. Dang Thi Thuy Trang, CEO of KITA Group: “During the pandemic, both employees and leaders faced tremendous pressure. The leadership team, in particular, bore pressure from many sides, but everyone understood the importance of maintaining psychological stability to motivate employees and find a path to help the company overcome difficulties and move toward sustainable development. Therefore, KITA Group did not pursue short-term survival goals at the expense of long-term direction, but instead remained steadfast with its plans, making appropriate adjustments to stay flexible and adapt to changing circumstances.”

As soon as the pandemic situation became complicated, the Group quickly launched the program “Vegetables of Love – Resilient Against the Pandemic,” delivering boxes of vegetables and fresh produce to each employee, agency, and partner at a time when food supplies were temporarily disrupted. Subsequently, the Group continued to provide employees with a set of five at-home Covid-19 test kits and blood oxygen level monitoring devices, essential for protecting health.

“These actions may have been small, but being carried out at a critical time made them especially meaningful, helping employees feel cared for and showing that the company truly functions as a family rather than merely a workplace,” the CEO of KITA Group shared.

The “Strategic Vaccine” – Staying committed to long-term goals

A crisis is also an opportunity for a grand vision and mission to shine. Instead of slowing down, KITA Group’s leadership agreed to view this quiet period in the real estate market as an opportunity to prepare momentum for a strong breakthrough as soon as social distancing ended and life returned to a new normal—with the best strategies and renewed positive energy.

Ms. Dang Thi Thuy Trang believes that a company that was strong in the past does not necessarily remain competitive today. During the pandemic, real-time adaptability is what truly drives business growth. Innovation, flexibility, and rapid adaptability must be prioritized. Companies cannot wait until the pandemic ends to take action; they must quickly equip themselves with the right “strategic vaccine,” at the right dose and effectiveness, to continue investing and doing business even amid the pandemic.

The first dual objective of KITA Group was to protect health while ensuring safe business operations. The solution was to create a protective shield for employees’ health. KITA Group’s leadership encouraged and actively sought opportunities for company members to receive Covid-19 vaccinations. Early vaccination not only helped employees feel reassured about their health, but also gave them a significant advantage in reconnecting with potential customers after the pandemic.

The second objective was for departments and units to work together to strengthen internal capabilities, prioritizing low-activity periods to optimize operations and standardize processes. In particular, the Group encouraged and supported each employee in enhancing personal capabilities and self-development to prepare for acceleration after social distancing ended.

The third objective KITA Group pursued was to remain committed to its business direction, continuing to develop real estate products with clear legal status, assured quality, large scale, ample supply, and strong cooperation mechanisms between the Group and its partners. According to the CEO of KITA Group, in line with domestic and global market trends, long-term urban real estate products with operational potential will continue to attract significant capital from seasoned investors. Delivering high-quality products with unique appeal is a key advantage of KITA Group, enabling the sales team to confidently consult clients and achieve strong sales even when overall market conditions are unfavorable.

Being fully prepared to return stronger was the fourth strategic objective set by KITA Group. Real estate is not a conventional commodity, so online activities can only support information provision, customer guidance, and the maintenance of construction activities. Nevertheless, KITA Group’s leadership developed strategies to prepare for success, rapid recovery, and acceleration after the pandemic. Project communications were continuously enhanced with comprehensive materials, and training programs were regularly organized to ensure consistent information flow.

“All activities at this time serve as a foundation, carefully preparing for a strong comeback and breakthrough once the pandemic is under control. This is also the time to evaluate individual contributions, as well as each person’s capabilities and potential. In adversity, individuals who are flexible, adapt quickly, and adhere to the company’s core values will shine,” Ms. Trang emphasized.

The “Positive Vaccine” – Spreading values to the community

Placing the interests of customers and society at the heart of the business and spreading the spirit of “social distancing but not emotional distancing” is the “positive vaccine” as well as the operating philosophy of KITA Group.

KITA Group has undertaken a meaningful journey of supporting the community in the fight against Covid-19. Accordingly, the Group donated medical supplies, materials, and equipment with an initial total budget of VND 20 billion to healthcare workers and medical staff, supporting pandemic prevention efforts in Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Can Tho, and communities affected by the pandemic.

Participating in initiating this program, Ms. Dang Thi Thuy Trang further shared: “With the shared goal of the community amid the current developments of the pandemic, the business community, including KITA Group, is always ready to join hands with the highest spirit of solidarity to help Can Tho in particular and Vietnam in general control and push back the pandemic. This program also reaffirms KITA Group’s mission to build valuable living environments for the community and spread positive values.”
