First Order Signed Between KITA Group and Chery Commercial Vehicle: New Opportunities for the Electric Commercial Vehicle Segment

On June 17, 2026, in Hanoi, KITA Group Joint Stock Company and Chery Commercial Vehicle Bozhou held the First Order Signing Ceremony, marking a new milestone in the cooperation between the two parties. According to the planned roadmap, a batch of 1,000 electric commercial vehicles will be introduced to the Vietnamese market by KITA Group by the end of 2026.

The event followed the strategic cooperation agreement signed between KITA Group and Chery Commercial Vehicle Bozhou in 2025, as well as the product distribution agreement for the Vietnamese market signed in May 2026.

From Strategic Partnership to Practical Implementation

More than one year after signing their strategic cooperation agreement, KITA Group and Chery Commercial Vehicle Bozhou have officially moved their partnership into the implementation phase through the first order dedicated to the Vietnamese market.

The First Order Signing Ceremony between KITA Group and Chery Commercial Vehicle Bozhou took place on June 17, 2026.

Under the agreement, KITA Group will participate in the manufacturing and become the exclusive distributor of selected Chery electric commercial vehicle models in Vietnam. These products are being researched and developed to suit local operating conditions while fully complying with Vietnamese technical standards and regulations. The target customer groups include logistics companies, e-commerce businesses, courier services, retail enterprises, and urban operation units.

According to a representative of KITA Group, the growth of electric commercial vehicles is not merely the introduction of a new product category but also reflects the ongoing transformation of logistics and urban transportation toward greater efficiency and sustainability. KITA Group’s vision extends beyond bringing electric commercial vehicles to market; the Group aims to contribute to the development of a comprehensive green transportation ecosystem in Vietnam.

The representative also emphasized that Chery Commercial Vehicle Bozhou’s partnership plays a significant role in realizing KITA Group’s green mobility strategy. Building on this foundation, both parties are committed not only to developing electric commercial vehicle models that meet market demand but also to contributing to the broader green transition of Vietnam’s transportation and logistics sectors.

Electric Commercial Vehicles Facing New Growth Opportunities in Vietnam

For many years, discussions about Vietnam’s electric vehicle market have largely focused on passenger vehicles. However, alongside the rapid growth of e-commerce and logistics, electric commercial vehicles are increasingly attracting the attention of businesses.

Industry experts believe this segment offers multiple advantages, as it simultaneously addresses key requirements related to operating costs, operational efficiency, and environmental sustainability.

In addition, the growing demand for last-mile delivery services in major cities, driven by the expansion of e-commerce, is creating demand for compact, agile vehicles capable of operating efficiently in urban environments while still meeting cargo transportation requirements.

Beyond market demand, policies promoting green growth and emission reduction are also accelerating the electrification of the transportation sector. In many countries, electric commercial vehicles have become an integral part of sustainable logistics development strategies. Vietnam is likewise gradually refining policies related to green transportation and clean energy utilization. Government initiatives aimed at promoting a green economy, reducing emissions, and encouraging clean energy adoption are also being progressively implemented.

Against this backdrop, electric commercial vehicles are widely regarded as one of the market segments with significant growth potential. More than simply replacing conventional vehicles, they are viewed as a key component of the broader transformation of transportation systems toward greater efficiency and sustainability.

From a market perspective, the first order placed by KITA Group and Chery Commercial Vehicle Bozhou demonstrates tangible signs of this transition. As more enterprises enter the electric commercial vehicle sector, the market will not only gain a wider range of product options but also gradually establish new components within a green transportation ecosystem—an area expected to play an increasingly important role in Vietnam’s transition toward a low-carbon economy.
